Sandbar

I was tasked with redesigning and refreshing the Sandbar branding, bringing in a bold new energy while elevating the overall quality and feel. At first, I’ll admit, I was a bit thrown off. There wasn’t a clear branding guide or backstory to work from, and I struggled to grasp the original designer’s vision.

After a few productive sessions with my art director, things began to click. We realized what the brand really needed: something vibrant, pop-inspired, and full of color with a strong balance between layout and negative space to keep it clean and readable.

I started building out templates that brought that vision to life, gradually shaping the direction of the refresh. For me, the execution phase is always the most rewarding, it’s where ideas start to take shape. It takes patience, a sharp eye, and most importantly, the ability to truly listen to direction. But once the pieces are clear and on the table, the design flow feels natural and satisfying.
